Milan – Alberto Predieri, founding partner of de Bedin & Lee studio legale associato, has been appointed by World Sailing, the International Sailing Federation, as vice-chair of the Judicial Board, for the next four years, alongside Hon. Ruth Miller, Bruce Collins QC, Dr David Sharpe, QC SC, Mark Yeadon, Prof. Dr Anne Jakob, Carol Roberts. Predieri, who was vice-president of the Federation from 2008 to 2012, is the first Italian to be appointed to the Judicial Board. The Judicial Board is the body within World Sailing that plays a key governance role and is the guarantor, among other things, of the independence and integrity of the disciplinary system for the sport’s world governing body. The Judicial Board ensures that all investigative and disciplinary functions are carried out in the most appropriate manner and by the most appropriate people. “I am honoured to have been appointed vice-chair of the Judicial Board” comments Alberto Predieri, “this wonderful sport has been part of my life for over 30 years and I hope to bring all my passion to World Sailing to ensure that proceedings are as smooth, transparent and efficient as possible“.
